Rod writes: Here is a picture of my 64 Chevelle. I purchased the original A/C body for only $200. I had the rest or I bought it new in my restoration. The restoration took a little more than 8 years due to lots of setbacks. It now has a 4 bolt 350 with a CompCams 280H (280 degre of advertised duration, with .488” of lift), Edelbrock RPM heads, B&M 2800 stall lock up torque converter with a 700R4 trans, 3.08 gears, and an Eaton 8.5” posi. The colors are Marina blue (obviously not a 64 color) and Ermine white top. The interior has custom seat upholstery, where as the remaining of the interior is stock. I found the floor shifter along with the console in a junkyard for a mere $50. The A/C system has been modified to use a newer style Sanden compressor and R134. The front disc brakes have been adopted from a 74 Camaro and bolster an 11” rotor. As with most restorations it still has some work to be done on it.
